About us
Loving one person at a time.
A Louisville ministry that started with one box of food and never stopped showing up.
Our story
In 2019 a single outdoor box went up on Mary Street. Neighbors could take what they needed and leave what they could spare. No paperwork, no questions, no cost. That was the whole idea, and it is still the whole idea.
Word traveled the way it does in a neighborhood. More people came. More people brought food. What began as a box became a Friday night meal, then a clothing closet, then partnerships with churches across Louisville for community days with food, clothing, haircuts and backpacks for the school year.
We became a registered 501(c)(3) in 2022. Nothing about the posture changed. There is still no payroll, no building of our own, and no requirement you have to meet before we will feed you.
We are not running a program. We are loving one person at a time, in the name of Jesus.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.”
Matthew 25:35
